BEFORE WE BEGIN
Please note that regardless of project area, I do require a deposit and chemistry meeting after reviewing your submission prior to committing to a project. This will help us figure out if I am the best fit for your vision. My rate starts at $100/hour for most projects and adjusts based on the state of the wall, if the project is exterior or interior, if a lift or scaffolding is needed to reach the right height. Other factors to consider is if you will need help with project management (which I can provide at an additional fee) and if you are interested in community engagement (which I can also provide but will need to know more information about). All of these things are helpful for you to understand and know and for me to share so that we both walk into a project excited, comfortable, and ready to go!
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Do you work with mentees, interns, volunteers, or hire assistants?
I do not typically hire assistants or work with interns without having a clear idea of what the working relationship will look like. I would only work with interns, mentees etc. on a project basis and would need to ensure any financial compensation is included in the project prior to a commitment.
Do you have a minimum rate?
Without knowing the scope of the project, the state of the wall, the timeline etc. it is difficult to have a starting minimum project rate. That said, knowing what my hourly base rate is can be helpful but I will ultimately need more information to give you a quote or proposal.
Do you provide artwork ahead of committing to a project?
Any sketches, drawings, or ideation would only be provided after a contract is signed. Unless it is required by an RFP or RFQ, I will not provide artwork ahead of a contract.
Do you use AI generated imagery?
Absolutely not. I will not work from submitted artwork especially AI generated artwork. All artwork is created by me and I retain all rights to usage of my original artwork.
Do you maintain murals after they are completed? Say it is damaged or vandalized, will you repair it for free?
I will not repair or restore murals without a contract and small fee for my time to restore or repair any damage. This is outlined in my contracts and on a case-by-case basis. At the base level, maintain a 1 year service warranty on all contracts. After 1 year, if there is any damage to a mural, I can be reached for potential restoration with a new contract agreed upon by both parties.
Do you travel for mural projects?
It depends! I would need to consider my prior commitments and family needs, but if you have a project and you're out of state or in a different part of Pennsylvania, let's talk!
